What We Love
We love the design of this product with its sleek design and expert Italian-made finish. The Bialetti is definitely a product meant to be displayed and if that isn’t what you are after the moka express can just as easily be stored with its multipurpose design. This espresso maker is easy to put together and even easier to clean making it a truly multi-purpose product with a masterfully crafted design.
Another aspect of this product that we find lovable is the high quality espresso you get from making it in your own kitchen. It doesn’t take meticulous effort or too much time either, just a quick 5 step process yields barista-made quality espresso. It’s perfect for those who have a busy life and want to make a delicious espresso at home.
Last but not least, the final positive feature of this product is the amount of espresso you can make at full capacity. Instead of making one single cup over and over again for multiple people the Bialetti makes as few as one and as many as nine in 4-5 minutes!
All around the Bialetti Moka Express Stovetop Espresso maker has a clean, efficient design, creates a great cup of espresso easily and can brew more than one cup at a time making it a clear favorite among stovetop espresso makers!
What We Don't Love
The first minor inconvenience is the product has to be cleaned by hand instead of quickly plunked into the dishwasher. Even with the wash time, you’ll still save time making espresso at home, so the inconvenience factor isn’t extremely important.
Secondly, the Moka Express doesn’t perform as well on electric stovetops as it does on top of a direct flame. This shouldn’t be too much of a burden if you keep a careful eye on the brew the first few times however, we suggest that you take a look at the Bialetti Venus instead, which is made for induction stovetops.
Finally it takes some time to perfect the ratio of espresso or coffee to the fineness of grind. In order to get the taste you want it might take more than one round of experimentation to find the truly perfect ratio. There are coffee grinders out there that makes this easier. If you are a coffee lover, this will be a task that you are probably more than willing to undertake and you’ll find what works best for you in no time.
Best Suited For
This product is best suited for someone who likes the convenience of making their own coffee in their home for a fraction of the price. The Bialetti Moka Express Stovetop Espresso Maker is easy to use, marketed at a fair price and produces a high quality product.
The size and design work for small to large kitchen spaces and have a polished design that also works towards its overall efficiency.
Not So Great For
This product is not suited for those who prefer to buy their coffee from a café or coffee shop. It is also not suited for a commercial or office space unless there is a designated kitchen area with a stovetop where the product can be utilized.
If you don’t have access to a stovetop, steer clear of this type of machine
Overall, we love this product. It’s easy to use and produces a high-quality product that rivals the best espresso cafes. We like it just as much as the many others who own it. 4.5 out of 5 stars
